Heart for Our Schools. Voice for Our Families
Welcome, friend!
I’m Julie, and I’m running to represent Cedar Fort, Fairfield, and Eagle Mountain on the new school board.
Teachers & Students First
I spent 26 years as a school librarian, helping kids fall in love with books, learning, and themselves. My husband was a teacher for 29 years, pouring his soul into students and schools.
We raised our family in a small town with faith, hard work, and deep roots in public education. We know what it’s like to stretch a school budget. We know what it’s like to see a child struggle and finally thrive.
I’ve lived the school day from the inside. I know what teachers need to thrive—and what students need to succeed. I’ll always put them first.

Trusted Leadership
Respected by Parents, Educators & Community Members
Julie’s lifelong dedication to students, schools, and local families has earned her the respect and trust of those who know her best.
Julie Myers has been a constant and caring presence in our school community for years. As PTA President, I’ve watched her quietly do the work that makes a difference—listening to families, supporting staff, and showing up for our kids time and time again. That’s why we named her our Volunteer of the Year. She leads with heart and humility, and we’d be lucky to have her represent us on the board.
- Heather Wrigley, Cedar Valley Elementary PTA President
It was my pleasure to work with Mrs. Myers for 8 years as her principal. Julie was an extraordinary Media Specialist at North Point Elementary. She made sure the Library was an interesting and welcoming place in the school for students. Julie was always warm and caring with students and went the extra mile to help students, teachers, and patrons. Her years of experience of working from the inside the school gives her a unique perspective that allows her to understands the needs of all members of the education community. Mrs. Myers’ judgement and listening ear will make her an excellent School Board member.
- Mr. Kim Roper, Retired ASD Administrator
I don’t know how Julie Myers does it—she’s everywhere. I see her volunteering at school, helping with town events, and still making time to support her grandkids, neighbors, and whole community. She doesn’t just say she cares—she shows it in everything she does. Julie is exactly the kind of grounded, community-centered person we need leading this new district.

All About Julie
Heart for Our Schools. Voice for Our Families.
And we know what local communities need—because we live it every day. This new district is a fresh start—and we have a chance to do something special. I’m running because I care deeply about: - Supporting our teachers so they can do what they do best—teach. - Prioritizing Special Education, so every child has a real chance to succeed. - Protecting and investing in our local schools and values as the district grows. I’m not a politician. I’m a grandma. I’m a neighbor. I’m someone who still believes that doing what’s right matters—even when it’s not easy. I Believe: - Parents should have a say in their child’s education - Teachers deserve respect, resources, and a seat at the table - Small-town schools matter—and should never be overlooked - Special Ed should NEVER be treated like an afterthought - Our children’s stability and well-being should always come first I’ll always ask: Is this what’s best for the child? If the answer’s no—I’ll speak up. My grandkids go to school in this valley, alongside students from Fairfield, Eagle Mountain, and Cedar Fort. I’ve shelved books, wiped tears, stayed late for programs, and celebrated the small victories that only teachers and school staff truly understand. Now, I want to bring that steady, experienced voice to the board. Not to be loud. Not to be political. But to be the heart of this new district.
